Q: Once you have rebranded, assuming a name change, what is the best way other than social media to get the new name out there?
A: This is a tricky one, but don’t worry, we’ve got your back! I have done this the right way and I have done this the wrong way, so this is my best advice.
Much like any rebrand, make sure your clients know what’s coming. Leak bits and pieces of your new brand and let people know that with your new brand, comes a new name. If people are prepared, they will not be so surprised and, more importantly, they will not be confused. Confusion is the main thing you want to avoid (because when people feel confused, even for a moment, they pause. They might keep going, but more likely, they will walk away and find someone else that doesn’t confuse them).
Know too, that there simply will be people who just don’t pay very close attention and will get lost in the shuffle. That’s okay, you can only do what you can do. Remember that this fabulous new brand and name will only benefit you, and get you new raving fans! Best of luck!
